Exporting Firearms to the USA

Here's what you need to do to export a firearm to the United States:
  1. Locate an FFL (Federal Firearms License) dealer willing and licensed to import a rifle/shotgun, (we can assist with locating one, if need be).
  2. Apply for ATF form 6 and 6a approval through the FFL dealer. Note: Most dealers will charge $50 to $80 for this service.
  3. Wait for the ATF to approve the permit. This can take anywhere from 12 to 30 weeks.
  4. Send the approved permit to us. We will then it to the Canadian government with our application for export and de-registration. This typically takes 2-6 weeks. There is a CAD $50.00 charge for this service, plus CAD $35.00 for Prohibited firearms.
  5. At this point, the firearm can now be shipped to the US. Unfortunately, US law requires that the firearm be shipped by air, which will typically cost $95.00 for a handgun, and $160.00 for a rifle or shotgun. Note: The ATF dealer must be willing to pick up the parcel at his or her nearest International airport
Due to the timeframe involved, we must insist on full payment for the firearm before the export process will commence.
